Artist's Statement

Her love for art was realised during her first year in printmaking. She has been a crafter for as long as she can remember because her talent was inherited from both parents; her mother the seamstress, and her father the handyman. Her printing plates and crafts are usually a combination of both art and craft; found and bought materials. She is passionate about exploring her materials in different ways because she is stimulated by texture and she strives to beat the norm.

Her present work is made of prints and proofs she collected throughout the 3 years of studying print making. First she "sketch studies" objects using different compositions. She cuts the prints into different shapes and sizes guided by the drawings (studies). She then stitches them together using a manual sewing machine.
